The Bishop of Manchester Cathedral, featured in Insomniacs Playstation 3 game 'Resistance: Fall of Man', is considering suing Sony claiming that including the church in the game was 'highly irresponsible' given 'the reality of gun crime' in Manchester.
Further more the Bishop goes on to say taht Sony is undermining the Churches work, "This is an important issue. For many young people these games offer a different sort of reality and seeing guns in Manchester Cathedral is not the sort of connection we want to make".
The Church claims that Sony did not seek permission to feature the building in the game and is as such demanding all copies of 'Resistance' be removed from store shelves. SCEs David Wilson says that the game is entirely fictional "like Doctor Who or any other science fiction. It is not based on reality at all. Throughout the whole process we have sought permission where necessary".
In totally unrelated news ex-Ambulance Chser Jack Thompson is booking a flight to Manchester.
